Death Valley: October 22, 2005

AdventureCORPS is pleased to produce the Death Valley Ride to Cure Diabetes on behalf of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. On October 22, 2005 in Death Valley National Park, hundreds of people rode their bikes for up to 100 miles to help cure diabetes.

The Ride to Cure Diabetes was held in support of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation—the world's leading nongovernmental, nonprofit funder of research to cure Type 1 diabetes, which strikes children suddenly, makes them insulin dependent for life, and carries the constant threat of devastating complications. JDRF is among the world's most efficient charities, in a typical year spending 85 cents of every dollar on research and education about research.
