RoadRacers™ Indoor Cycling Program

Imagine working your heart, lungs, muscles, mind, and soul in unison. Imagine a fitness journey that takes the real training principles of bicycle racing, blends them with yoga and martial arts, and provides a workout that encourages you to find your own personal best. Imagine an indoor training system that welcomes and nurtures newcomers, exhilarates and challenges even the most seasoned athlete, and yet is totally non-competitive. Imagine men and women of all ages and backgrounds working together in a communal environment with a common goal: to become the fittest, healthiest, happiest human beings possible. This is RoadRacers™, an indoor cycling program unique to Bodies in Motion.

RoadRacers is a cardio-vascular workout for the whole body that utilizes a special stationary bicycle. Led by an instructor and set to music, RoadRacers is available at every Bodies in Motion club. Join a class and you'll find twenty, thirty, or more RoadRacers enthusiasts engaged in a 45 minute workout that burns up to 800 calories and is fun, easy to learn, and addictive!

We recommend three or four classes a week, mixed up with a variety of other classes offered at Bodies in Motion for a complete training program. Best of all, every RoadRacers class if for everybody! You set the pace and pedaling resistance and always have control of your own ride. For point of reference with the other classes we offer, the Bodies in Motion fitness rating system will help you compare RoadRacers with our other types of fitness classes. The following criteria are used on a 1 to 3 scale of difficulty, with 1 being least:

  1. CB-Calorie Burning: How cardiovascularly challenging is this class.
  2. MT-Muscle Toning/Strength Building: How well do the classes tone and strengthen the muscles.
  3. F-Flexibility: How well does the class improve overall flexibility.
  4. CM-Complexity of Movements: How difficult or complex are the movements for beginners.

RoadRacers™ Kids get recess every day, but what about us? If you like to spin or bike, or just want the most benefit for your time and money, then RoadRacers is for you! Best of all, absolutely anybody can join our specially trained indoor cycling instructors on a sweat-drenched, music and endorphin-crazed ride of their life!

RoadRacers™ Intro/Technique Want to know how and why we do all that stuff on the bikes? This once a month class demonstrates and explains the purpose behind each movement and technique in a RoadRacers class. Designed for novices who want to learn the fundamentals, as well as for veterans who want to polish their form and understanding of the program.
